Meet Ernie Shaffer, our Executive Director at Oakmont of Segovia.
Executive Director Ernie Shaffer had the pleasure of growing up in a large extended family, and was blessed to know all four of his grandparents, as well as two great-grandparents and three great aunts. He was pleased to join Oakmont in May of 2015 and comes to this position with a wealth of industry knowledge, having worked for several other national providers of retirement and senior living services. Oakmont’s exemplary reputation for providing luxurious senior living attracted Ernie to this position. His current role is Senior Executive Director, with primary responsibility as the licensee of record at Segovia of Palm Desert. Other responsibilities include providing general oversight of operations at other Oakmont communities in Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties. He is also a member of Oakmont’s Peer Review Team, where he participated with other Executive Directors and Managers in conducting Quality Assurance audits in various communities throughout California.
His goals for Segovia are based on the concepts of quality assurance and continuous quality improvement. He believes there is always an opportunity to improve and fine tune any system of service delivery. Simply stated, striving for the highest level of Resident Satisfaction is an on-going journey rather than a destination!
